Programs

Hope Montessori Academy provides an environment where children ages 6 weeks to 6 years are cared for, nurtured, and educated by certified Montessori teachers and early childhood specialists. We provide infant and toddler programs, two-year-old programs, preschool programs as well as kindergarten programs. Hope Montessori Academy is licensed by the Missouri Department of Health & Senior Services.

Hope Montessori Academy is dedicated to developing the whole child. Our teachers recognize children’s individuality while also teaching respect for others and the environment. The Montessori philosophy is used with developmentally appropriate practices to ensure the curriculum is matched to each child’s ability level.

Our teacher to child ratios and classroom group sizes exceed state licensure requirements. The personalized attention we are able to provide allows parents to be assured of the high-quality environment their children are exposed to on a daily basis; a win-win situation for both parents and children!

Character Education/Family Involvement

We have integrated character education and family involvement throughout our curriculum. Maria Montessori expressed children have a natural sense of dignity and self-respect and it is the role of the adult to nurture these tendencies. Dr. Montessori was a strong advocate for the rights of children and was committed to the idea that adults must always recognize children as individuals who deserve the utmost respect.

It is with these thoughts in mind that Hope Montessori Academy emphasizes the importance of respect, ethics, and manners, therefore promoting self-respect, self-discipline, and dignity within each child.

Parent participation is always welcome and encouraged at our school. We believe if both parents and school collaborate with educating our children, this encouragement leads to higher learning and a lifetime of success.

“It is evident that society should lavish upon children the greatest care so that it may in turn receive from the child new energies and potentialities”

– Maria Montessori
